We can advise you on the best places to hunt, fish or spot wildlife and recommend local guides.

Its only 15 minutes to Katahdin Iron Works entrance and the  Gulf Hagas, a spectacular canyon with waterfalls and cliffs,  with access to the Appalachian trail. It is a great day hike through Gulf Hagas considered the Grand Canyon of the East.  Also see one of the last remaining stands of old growth "Kings Pine" left from the days of colonial America.  If you are hiking through and want a rest before the last 100 mile stretch. Give us a call ahead of time and we can arrange to pick you up.

The Pleasant River runs through Katahdin Iron works into Brownville.  There is a great walk, 2 miles, along the river in Brownville with benches and signs explaining the areas of natural beauty. Just a short 5 minute drive away. Or put you Kayak or canoe in just past the gate at KI and make your way back to Brownville a great way to spend the day. Ask for more details.

Snowmobiling is great fun and since we are located in the highlands the Brownville region gets higher snowfall totals thatn surounding areas. ITS 83 runs next to our property and we have direct access to it.  It connects to all the other major trails in the area and provides a link to Schoodic Lake and Brownville Junction.  The covered porch provides a great place to store your gear.

Our ice shack goes on Schoodic lake every year around Febuary, deepending on the ice, and is available for a small fee.  In in mid Febuary there is the annual Schoodic lake Ice Fishing Derby.
